Customer Service Administrator  – Job Description

Countrywide Hearing Ltd is an independent specialist company dealing with insurance claims for hearing aids.  An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team based in Swansea West on a full-time basis.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver a telephone handling service to customers, insurers and suppliers providing excellent customer service and developing a constructive and professional relationship
  • Answer queries from clients, insurers and suppliers in a pro-active manner
  • Enter data on a bespoke database and maintain accurate up-to-date records in line with Countrywide Hearing’s protocol
  • Prepare detailed quotations for customers
  • Diarise calls and contact to ensure all enquiries are handled in a timely manner and ensuring portfolio of clients are properly looked after
  • Prepare validations and authorise payments
  • Complete MI for management review using Excel
  • Develop strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers
  • Ensure all correspondence produced is accurate, well presented and adheres to guidelines
  • Attend internal and external product or insurance training as required
  • Ensure all Countrywide Hearing procedures are followed
  • Comply with all audit requirements
  • Assist in day to day running of busy office when required
  • Assist management with ad hoc tasks as required 

Key Skills

  • Have an eye for detail and take pride in your work
  • Have a passion for providing first class customer service
  • Sales experience
  • Good telephone and communication skills
  • Organised and methodical
  • Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office and use of databases
  • Experience of working in the insurance industry desirable, but not essential as full training given

The position is full time Monday to Friday 9-5pm (37.5 hours) with 30 days annual leave (including all bank holidays). The salary is £16,500-18,000 p.a. dependent on experience.
