Meet the newest team member
There’s a new member of the Countrywide Hearing team, and she’s got a very important job!
Libby is only little but is already well on her way to becoming a companion to a deaf or hard of hearing person, helping them leave loneliness behind, reconnect with family and friends and live a full life.
Libby also happens to have larger ears than the average Countrywide Hearing employee and is partial to a game of hide and seek.
If you’re raising an eyebrow at this point, it might be worth mentioning that Libby is a Cocker Spaniel puppy and South Wales- based firm Countrywide Hearing are sponsoring her through her new career as a Hearing Dog for Deaf People.
Katrine Davies, Director of Countrywide Hearing said:
“We are really impressed by the work of Hearing Dogs for Deaf people and have heard from clients just how much of a difference a dog trained by the charity can make to people’s lives.
“The dogs are trained by tireless volunteers and we are proud to be sponsoring her on her training journey to becoming a life-changing hearing dog”
She added:
“Libby also happens to be extremely cute and we couldn’t resist those puppy dog eyes!”
