At a virtual ceremony on Thursday 27th of May, we are proud to share we were announced as the WINNERS of Third Party Claims Management Team of the Year for our hearing aid insurance replacements. The Insurance Times Claims Excellence awards are designed to recognise and reward excellence across insurance claims, and those teams who are in direct contact with customers in their hour of need.
What makes us an Award Winning Team?
Our awards entry highlighted to judges how our usual claims management process had to adapt quickly throughout the COVID19 pandemic in 2020. The judges commented on our commitment to helping vulnerable customers with hearing aid claims, despite the challenges the pandemic raised. We felt passionately about making sure all our customers continued to be able to access support, either remotely or from a safe distance in the correct PPE. We understood that during lockdown, communication was more important than ever, and that hearing aid replacement remained a crucial service to combat feelings of isolation and loneliness. We provided flexible and agile solutions to reflect changing government guidance, and our team went above and beyond to deliver.

How do Countrywide Hearing support Hearing Aid Insurance Claims?
Losing a hearing aid can be extremely distressing, and making a claim with your insurers may not be straightforward without the ability to hear as usual. What are our plans for the future?

We want to maintain personalised, one to one customer support, whilst maximising the number of people we can help with their hearing aid claims. COVID19 has delivered another challenge in the form of mask wearing, which has increased the loss of hearing aids that sit behind the ear. We are supporting insurers with new claims whilst actively trying to prevent future ones, sending out FREE mask extenders out to customers where possible. We have a responsibility to reduce the distress caused by losing hearing aid, whether it be through our fast replacement service, or by providing preventatives measures too.
